About

Our school nutrition program is currently short on cafeteria staff and experiencing supply chain issues. We have a number of vacant positions and are also having trouble receiving ingredients from our food vendors. This is a nationwide problem, but we are working on several strategies to mitigate the impact on our students.
We apologize to students who are experiencing unusually long lunch lines and last-minute menu changes. As we navigate this challenging time, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thank you for your continued support,

FOUNTAIN VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOOD SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - August 10, 2021
Dear Fountain Valley School District Families,
The Fountain Valley School District is proud to continue offering free meals to all students for the 2021-22 school year, thanks to a waiver granted by the USDA. We greatly appreciate families completing the meal application, as some federal and state funding sources are connected to the number of students that qualify for free-and-reduced lunches. Additionally, families are eligible for discounted school fees, free or reduced-cost internet service, free or reduced-cost phone service, and the Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) benefits which can be used to help purchase food!
If you have questions regarding the free-and-reduced lunch application or need assistance completing the form, please contact Suzanne Brown at browns@fvsd.us.
Sincerely,
