• Imagine that vernal pools become destroyed and no longer exist. How would this affect this ecosystem (where living and nonliving things interact to survive)? What would happen to the animals (both in the vernal pool and the forest)? How would this affect the forest/woods that the vernal pool exists in? Write about this in your journal.
