Writing: Revising and Editing Your Work

  • Time to revise! Use the strategies you read about this week to help you edit and revise your work. Some tips for editing are:
    • Read your work aloud to yourself or someone in your family, listening for any fragments or run-on sentences--use what you learned this week to help you revise!
    • You could also email your paragraph to a friend and ask them to read it. Often a friend can catch an error that you may have missed.
    • When you are done, share your finished work with someone in your family.
