Reading 

Week 4 - Day 1

• Listen to the story Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!. 
• Retell the story to an adult.  Who was the main character?  Where did the story take place?
• Identify book parts and features
• Find a book in your house and show an adult the parts of the book.
• Practice your sight words at home or play this fun game. 

            Sight Word Match

• Read or listen to any book of choice for 20 minutes.

Reading

Week 4 - Day 2

• Listen to the story Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!.  
• Watch Author vs. Illustrator
• Who is the author of this story?  How do you know?  Do you like the story she has written?  Why or why not?
• Practice your sight words at home or play this fun game. 

            Sight Word Smash

• Read or listen to someone read a book of choice for 20 minutes.

Reading 

Week 4 - Day 3

• What are some things Henry needed to do to get ready for school.  You can always go back to the story Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come! to help you.

• Practice your sight words at home or play this fun game. 

            Sight Word Popcorn

• Read or listen to someone read a book of choice for 20 minutes.

Week 4 - Day 4

• Tell an adult all the things you look forward to doing in Kindergarten.  How did Henry feel when he got to school?  Is there anything that you are nervous about?  How did Henry feel at the end of the story?
• Practice your sight words at home or play this fun game.

Week 4 - Day 5

• Think about this week’s story Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come! and last week’s story The Kissing Hand.  How are these 2 stories the same?  How are they different?  Explain your thinking to an adult.

• Choose the two words that are the same
• Read or listen to someone read a book of choice for 20 minutes.
