As you may have heard, the Fountain Valley School District is conducting a classification study. Educational Management Solutions (EMS), an independent consulting firm, has been chosen by the Personnel Commission to conduct the study. The purpose of a classification study is to obtain information about the work performed in each job classification, create updated, accurate job descriptions, and assure that positions are classified correctly. Once job descriptions are updated, a salary survey will follow to compare the salaries in the Fountain Valley School District to other Orange County school districts. Fountain Valley School District completed its last district-wide classification study in 1996.
