Middle School Math

The FVSD middle school math department integrates McGraw-Hill California Math and the Irvine Math Project to develop strong procedural and conceptual mastery in middle school math. With the implementation of the Irvine Math Project curriculum, students are engaged in concrete, hands-on, research-based discovery activities aligned with the California State Mathematics Standards. Each grade level has developed standards-based pacing guides and unit plans to meet the needs of our students. The middle school math team also collaborated to create common unit assessments, allowing data analysis to guide future instruction. We constantly search for ways to refine and revisit our lessons to reach all learners.
