The Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees met on Thursday, August 13, 2026, to celebrate new district leadership and review essential updates to board bylaws and policies.
Welcoming New District Leadership
Superintendent Dr. Katherine Stopp and the Board of Trustees officially welcomed and recognized five exceptional educational leaders to their new roles within FVSD:
Dr. Kiva Spiratos – Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services
Tandy Taylor – Director, Student Services and Safety
Lisa Tanita – Director, Educational Services
Kimberly Duenas – Principal, Courreges Elementary
Desirae McGhie – Assistant Principal, Masuda Middle School

Board meetings are open to in-person attendance and live-streamed on the FVSD YouTube channel: FVSD YouTube Channel
Board meetings are held in the Board Room at 10055 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley, CA. Board meetings begin with a closed session at 5:00 p.m., followed by an open session at 6:00 p.m.
