California State Standards
Educational standards describe what students should know and be able to do in each subject from kindergarten through high school. In California, the State Board of Education determines the standards for all students. The standards are designed to encourage the highest achievement by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills needed for success in subsequent grades and, ultimately, college and career.
