About Ms. Hughes

Ms. Hughes joins Fountain Valley School District for her third year, and she is excited to be the music teacher for the teams at Cox and Gisler! She has previously shared music with elementary students as a teacher in Orange Unified School District and as a children’s choir director for both Claremont United Church of Christ and Soli Encore’s after-school music programs. She received her Bachelor of Music in music education, her teaching credential, and her Master of Arts in teaching from Chapman University. When she isn’t with her elementary students, Ms. Hughes is the Assistant Director of the Orange County Women’s Chorus. Her life revolves around music, and she feels lucky to have a career that allows her to focus on her passions. In her free time, Ms. Hughes enjoys spending time outdoors, reading great books, and dancing!
