Katherine Stopp reacted to her appointment, saying "I am honored to be the new Superintendent for the Fountain Valley School District and look forward to working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, teachers, administrators, staff, parents and community members to continue to provide an unparalleled foundation for our students. Dr. Stopp earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a business emphasis from the University of California Los Angeles, a master’s degree in educational technology from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in teacher education in multicultural societies from the University of Southern California. She lives in Long Beach, CA with her husband, two boys and dog, Murphy.
