2018 California Distinguished Schools

Courreges Elementary and Newland Elementary were named as 2018 California Distinguished Schools, the state’s top honor for campuses. The prize goes to schools with the highest overall achievement scores in academic and non-academic indicators, or those with high concentrations of low-income students and English learners that significantly improved or maintained high scores.

JOIN US for Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Community Forum

We need your ideas, input, and suggestions. Please join us for the FVSD LCAP Community Forum on April 10th! The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Every school district is required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year plan that describes goals and specific actions to achieve those goals for all pupils including, low-income students, English learner, and foster youth.

TK Pre-Enrollment is now OPEN

To enroll your child in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2018/19 school year, click here to go to the student registration page and complete the pre-enrollment interest form. 2018-19 Preschool Information

Our preschool environment encourages each child to choose activities and use materials according to their individual needs, abilities and interests. By fostering curiosity and creative exploration of materials children develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning and a feeling of competency. We work closely with our kindergarten teachers to ensure kindergarten readiness for all of our preschool students.
