2018 FVSD Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Input Survey - CLOSED

Updating the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) takes many months and is based on the input from a variety of stakeholders including parents, students, teachers, administrators, and support staff. The final step before the Board of Trustees holds a Public Hearing is to solicit broad input from those who may or may not have previously contributed. Please consider contributing.

REVISED 2018-19 FVSD Calendar

At their April 19th Board Meeting, the FVSD Board of Trustees approved a revised calendar for the 2018-19 School Year, changing the spring recess to be aligned with Huntington Beach Union High School District's 2018-19 School Year calendar. Thus, both FVSD and HBUHSD will have spring recess the week of April 15th - 19th, 2019, the week prior to Easter holiday.

2018 California Distinguished Schools

Courreges Elementary and Newland Elementary were named as 2018 California Distinguished Schools, the state’s top honor for campuses. The prize goes to schools with the highest overall achievement scores in academic and non-academic indicators, or those with high concentrations of low-income students and English learners that significantly improved or maintained high scores.

JOIN US for Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Community Forum

We need your ideas, input, and suggestions. Please join us for the FVSD LCAP Community Forum on April 10th! The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Every school district is required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year plan that describes goals and specific actions to achieve those goals for all pupils including, low-income students, English learner, and foster youth.
