All ten schools in the Fountain Valley School District have been named winners of the California Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Award. In addition, the District received the district level CAPP Award. Presented by the State of California in place of the California Distinguished Schools Program, the CAPP Award celebrates schools and districts that have implemented innovative practices during the 2020-21 school year.

The Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees named Dr. Katherine Stopp as the next Superintendent of the Fountain Valley School District effective April 1, 2022, pending Board approval on March 24th.

Starting today Monday, June 27th through Friday, August 5th, the Fountain Valley District Office will be operating on Summer Hours.

The Fountain Valley School District (FVSD) announced with excitement that Ms. Jill Summerhays, SDC Preschool teacher at Plavan Elementary School, has been named the District’s Teacher of the Year for 2022.

The Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees approved Charles Hinman, Ed.D. as the Interim Superintendent of the Fountain Valley School District. The Board of Trustees took action to approve Dr. Hinman’s contract at their regular meeting on January 3, 2022.

Report Cards for the 1st trimester are now available. Elementary Report Cards will be accessible through the Report Card Maker Parent Portal, and instructions have been distributed via ParentSquare to families of elementary students. Middle School Report Cards will be accessible through the Aeries Parent Portal.

The Fountain Valley School District (FVSD) welcomed a new member to the FVSD Family with the appointment of Carmen Serna to the position of Director, Human Resources. The Board of Trustees approved Ms. Serna’s appointment at their regular Board meeting this evening.
