As of today, August 6, 2020, we have a little under five weeks before our first day of school on September 9, 2020. At tonight's regular Board of Trustees Meeting, the Board formally approved the Reopening Schools Plan for the upcoming school year. We are excited to share this plan with our families and community, as it offers another layer of detail to the video we shared in late July with all staff and families. At the August 6th regular Board of Trustees Meeting, the Board formally approved the Reopening Schools Plan for the upcoming school year, and along with it, a modified 2020-21 Academic Calendar. Please click on the headline to see the revised 2020-21 District Calendar.
Schools Reopening Update #4 includes a very informative video message from FVSD staff, a slide presentation of instructional models that are being explored for the upcoming school year, and an important parent survey.

FVSD is pleased to share self-paced Summer Learning Resources for students. Module One, released on July 6, 2020, provides a 4-week review of essential learning for each grade level from the 2019-20 school year. Module Two, which will be released on Monday, August 3rd, will provide a grade level-specific preview of essential learning for the upcoming school year. Newly-enrolled students to FVSD now have FULL ACCESS to the IXL components of the Summer Learning Resources!
The Fountain Valley School District has provided information on several Summer Meal opportunities available to our community. The next pickup of Summer Harvest is on Saturday, July 27th.
