The Lighthouse Leadership Award recognizes one student from each grade level who consistently exemplifies the FVSD Guiding Principles: Integrity, Love, Teamwork, Leadership, Perseverance, Citizenship, and Respect.
The most touching moments of the evening came as Tamura teachers took turns at the podium. Each teacher shared personal stories and specific examples of how their student goes above and beyond to make their classroom and campus a better, kinder place.
To commemorate their achievement, each student was presented with an official certificate signed by School Board President Mr. Cole and Superintendent Dr. Stopp. In true school-spirit fashion, they also received a mini plush tiger, representing Tamura’s beloved mascot.
