FVSD Students Recognized by City Council for Water Awareness Poster Contest Artworks

Water Art Contest 2026

Marking the first year of this unique district and city partnership, student artwork went beyond paper posters to become a permanent installation in the community. Through Fountain Valley's Art on a Box program, seven featured student art pieces were combined onto one giant utility box in the city. The box wrap was officially installed on Friday, September 25, 2026, turning student artwork into public art designed to remind residents about the value of water conservation.

During the council meeting, local leaders and district officials celebrated the student winners who earned top honors:

  • 1st Place: Koa Huang (Fulton Middle School, Grade 6)

  • 2nd Place: Lincoln Danusastro (Talbert Middle School, Grade 7)

  • 2nd Place: London Carruth (Talbert Middle School, Grade 7)

  • 2nd Place: Molly Cohen (Fountain Valley High School, Grade 9)
