    1. To inform people on the dangers of tornadoes and the importance of being prepared.
    2. To criticize scientists for not being able to better predict tornadoes.
    3. To entertain the reader with a story about a dangerous tornado.
    4. To scare people living in “Tornado Alley” about the power of tornadoes.
