Twilight Education Project

Learn about the Twilight Education Project, where families can learn the language and life skills that they need to succeed. A program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, the Twilight Education Project removes the typical barriers to services: it's FREE, takes place after work hours, and provides transportation and child care.

JOINT COMMUNICATION: Fountain Valley School District, Huntington Beach Police Department and Fountain Valley Police Department Reaffirm Safe School Campuses

Student and staff safety are a top priority for the Fountain Valley School District (FVSD), Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) and Fountain Valley Police Department (FVPD). Today, the FVSD Safe Schools Task Force reconvened to continue to examine all aspects of safety on our school campuses. Through our ongoing collaborative partnership, FVSD, HBPD and FVPD wish to reiterate to our community our efforts to ensure that our schools are safe and supportive environments.

Principal Chris Christensen to lead Newland School and Principal Chris Mullin to lead Tamura School

Beginning with the 2022-23 school year, Mr. Chris Christensen (former Courreges Principal) will be assigned to serve as the Principal of Newland Elementary School, and Mr. Chris Mullin (former Newland Principal) will serve as the Principal of Tamura Elementary School. Both Mr. Christensen and Mr. Mullin have led large initiatives at their respective school sites in the areas of curriculum and instruction, school culture, shared leadership, intervention, communication, and campus modernizations.

School Year 2022-23: Public Media Release for Free and Reduced-Price Meals

Fountain Valley School District announces its policy to serve nutritious meals every school day under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, children are eligible for free or reduced-price meals if the household income is less than or equal to the federal guidelines.

2022-23 Jump Start Learning Modules Available!

Fountain Valley School District is excited to launch our first 4-week block of summer learning activities for students. These "Jump Start" modules are designed for students to complete at their 2022-23 grade level.

Jerry Gargus, Ed.D. Named Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services

The Fountain Valley School District is pleased to share that Jerry Gargus, Ed.D., has been named the next Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services effective May 20, 2022, pending Board approval on May 19th. Dr. Gargus has been a valued member of the FVSD Family since 2018 when he joined the District as the Director, Educational Services.
