Mission Statement

The Fountain Valley School District Library Services Department assists students, teachers, and staff in learning how to utilize information and ideas effectively. We teach skills to locate and use various types of information and technology. Our goal is to enhance reading skills, collaborate with teachers to support learning, provide a range of materials, and foster a lifelong love for reading and learning.

School libraries are more than places with books. The Fountain Valley School District Library Services Department wants to create a modern learning space where everyone has equal access to information and can build skills to find and understand it. We want to inspire students to enjoy reading in all formats, think critically, and feel welcome in a space that supports their learning
